I

don’t know about you but the summer seems to have been brief and left us quickly again this year.
As I write this article it feels more like autumn than high summer in August!

Saturday 18th September

In September we are kicking off the autumn season with a basic course ‘Everyday Cooking’. This course is designed for the beginner where we take things a little slower and do not expect any previous cooking experience at all.
We will also look at key store cupboard ingredients so you will always be able to make a meal without a trip to the supermarket. The day will provide you with tasty basic everyday meals such as Spicy lamb kebabs with minted yoghurt dressing, Chicken with lemon and coriander couscous, Chilli con carne as well as some basic dessert and cake recipes – flapjack, muffins, pancakes to name but a few of the recipes you may want to try.

Saturday 25th September

Here at Nursery Cottage we are really excited to tell you about our very special course ‘Health & Beauty Day’. We have teamed up with Janet, a consultant for the BODY SHOP and Linda who is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapies.

The day will bring together a selection of healthy, tasty recipes you will be preparing as well as the luxury of advanced massage & other holistic therapies using BODY SHOP products to help you to relax and unwind.

Indain head massage
Coconut Body Butter

To complete the day you will also have a BODY SHOP make over using their latest makeup products. There will be products available to buy on the day as well as items to pre-order from the catalogue. The day starts at 10am and will run until approx. 4.30pm and all ingredients, treatments and makeovers are included in the price.

Saturday 23rd October

We are already getting ready for the changing seasons, cooler weather with fresher winds so something a little spicier on the plate is now more welcome. In October we are running ‘Authentic Indian Food 2’ which will include both meat and vegetarian dishes, so whether you are an ardent meat eater or a vegetarian there will be something for everyone.
Sareena provides a real insight into the authentic food Indian people actually eat at home – home style chicken curry, Chana aloo, roti, cumin rice and not forgetting the all important proper onion bhajis. Let me tell you from personal experience they are simply the best you will eat - superb crisp, spicy bites and served with a minty yoghurt dip you will think you’ve died and gone to heaven.

Saturday 9th October

This is designed for the non-cake baker! If you have never made a cake then this is the course for you. You will be able to try a range of different cakes and bakes during the day. This can include classic Victoria sponge sandwich, scones, muffins, cheesecake, lemon drizzle cake, chocolate cake, and more. Although you will be tasting throughout the day, please bring some containers to take home the rest of your creations to share with your friends and family.

Why not contact us and book a course today.
You can telephone or email us nurserycottagecs@gmail.com. We hope you like the selection of courses but if you have any suggestions please feel free to contact us.
